HELP! Blinker problem

[Harry's E30]

So i tried searching and couldnt find anything but when i use my blinker left or right they both work on the outside but on the cluster both flash as well as the light for the brights any ideas what is wrong? thanks

I would first suspect the cluster itself. Pull it out and disassemble, its not hard to remove and can be done without removing the steering wheel. Once disassembled, inspect the traces for burn marks or any type of damage that would cause a short, including assembly. Perhaps the previous owner modified or opened the cluster before.

Also inspect the SI board in case, which is mounted to the front panel of the cluster.
