OK, if price doesnt matter then you should get 2 12W7 JL subs. Those are $650 each.

Figure $1-200 for a proper box that can withstand the output, it should be constructed entirely of 1inch MDF.

Kind of a moot point as he wont be buy 2 12W7's in the first place, so he wont need a new amp to power them.

But yeah, a GOOD amp, able to produce steady, optimal power to feed 2 W7's will run you 600-1000.

I don't have the tools or skill to make a bandpass box. So far my plan is a DD9515 powered by something large... probably a MTX 81000D until I can find something bigger.

for the price poweracoustik fubr is a very nice sub. it hadles a shit ton of power and abuse and its loud with pretty good spl.
