nah, it is just old school. That is how we did it back when, when that setup was common, but there was no such thing as "deck tuning" or a deck with sub outs.

Anyway, nice work and looking forward to seeing the finished setup. BTW, where did you get the mesh loom? I use split loom mostly because I can get it wholesale from local suppliers but it is not nearly as pliable or visually pleasing as the mesh.
This install came out extremely well, everything was well thought out and planned in great detail. The one thing I noticed is that if it comes down to you having to remove that, it would not be that hard. When I built the amp rack for my E34, it was a matter of disconnecting a few wires and a fuse and the entire board came out. I think I noticed some Monster Cable RCAs in there as well which I thought was nice (all I use in all of my BMWs).
Excellent attention to detail and the wire management is kick ass (my favorite part of any install).

Again, Nice work Moto."A good memory for quotes combined with a poor memory for attribution can lead to a false sense of originality."

i am definitely going to finally break out my deh64bt and blaupunkt amp/sub (temporary) and start with my install. thanks for the motivation. lol
Guys, I just wanna take a second and say thanks for all your support over the years.
We are in danger of losing this place and our home as well...things ain't so good right now. On the other hand, we never would have gotten this close if it weren't for R3V!
I hope this thread and many others will help people learn what proper car audio is all about. Nice, clean, simple installs start with attention to detail.
You can bet that this car makes everything sound just awesome.
I hope and pray that we can find a way to increase our business so we can continue...but things are bleak right now.
Luke
