Tired of searching, need help. (turn signals)

My turn signals do not work, at all.

When I press the hazard button, the Right turn signal in the cluster goes on, but not the Left.

When my head lights are on, the signals are illuminated in the bumper.

I checked the fuses & I checked the relay. WTF is wrong?

Again, when I switch on the turn signal stalk, I do not get turn signals.

More than likely the flasher relay under the steering column.

That black relay? ... I checked it already and swapped it with another one!

When you press the hazards, the right signal on the cluster goes on, and stays illuminated, but what about the front and rear bulbs?

It could be your hazard switch itself too. Because the turn signals go through it. If it's out or bad, you won't have turn signals or hazards.

Check that.

It illuminates and blinks like normal, front right and rear bulbs go on too, like normal.

I've interchanged the hazard switch with 3 other switches, same results.

I have a strange issue as well. My right blinker blinks fast more times than not. No bubls are out. It also seems to be dim. And when the hazard is on it acts up as well.

Probably a bad connection from the bulb to the housing.

My dad had that problem, I fixed it by reversing the bulb in the housing. (reversed the prongs) I had to slightly shave down the prongs to make it fit.. Idk, try it, or don't.

Also, my horn doesn't work. Bad connection through the steering column?

Recap: Turn signals don't work, horn doesn't work, when the hazards are on only the passenger's side works.

There is power to the fuses and the relays. The fuses and relays are all working properly.



... Where the fuuu should I look next? Broken wires?

"seems to be dim" - I'd check my grounds first... check for power at the socket, follow the wiring diagram to the next connector - prob under the dirvers sill. Check before and after there too... keep working your way back umtil you get a SOLID 12v or more. Electrical is really very simple...

I used a meter at the relays & fuses. A-ok.

When my head lights are on the turn signals illuminate also, like normal.

How probable would it be that it's the stalk?

^If you have not tried another signal stalk... then highly probable. I just had to replace mine because the contacts inside it were bad. Passenger side or driver side would not work at all sometimes and other times would work fine. When the switch got really bad they would never work until the outside temp hit at least 75. Guess corrosion had gotten bad enough that when cold the contacts would not hit each other.

I guess I'll continue my issue in this thread since it's got good responses..

My drivers side front blinker and fog light do not work. The fuses and relays all work, both passenger side blinker and fog light work as well as the rears. Both subjects have new bulbs but neither seem to be working. I'm starting to think that entire wiring harness maybe fubared...

Any suggestions?
