Alarm won't let me start the E30

Was at walmart the other day and went to unlock my car it did no problem.. As soon as i turned the key nothing happened and car wasn't starting. FML this is probably the 10th time it has happened.. after sitting there for 10 mins just pressing the lock/unlock button and trying to start it (Not to mention everybody staring at me wondering why my cars going beep.. beep beep.. beep.. beep beep.. throughout the whole parking lot lol) finally started.
All I know is that it is a Viper brand alarm and it sucks ass. I'm going to remove it ASAP.
Basically just a rant thread -.- Removed alarm from porsche 928s was a pain in the ass and now i have to remove the e30s alarm too. man.. sucks to suck :(
Also, what alarms do you have in your cars? any similar problems like this happen to you??

I'm sorry but I always laugh when ppl can't start their cars/ can't turn off alarms because of faulty systems...

I've never had a problem with my alarm systems but I hear Luke complaining about the relays used for the starter kill feature. That's just an optional component of the alarm, not the alarm itself. DEI the parent company of Viper and many other name brand alarms has been around a long time.

Anyway, since you have the key, can't you switch the ignition ON and toggle the valet switch to deactivate the alarm and de-energize the starter kill relay? If you have a problem with the remote (new battery often solves problems), you need to have a functioning valet switch and know where it is. They are supposed to be hidden away.

I set up my kill switch with a relay. Used a nice fat Bosch relay that has a strong distinctive click whenever I push it. I used to have a problem with cheap relays failing on me & disabling the kill switch.

Like said, it's probably the starter kill relay. Is it a remote start? If so check the hood pin switch, those pieces of shit break all the time.

Not all installers actually install the valet switch or leave it easily accessible.

No its not remote start just a Viper model: 300
Probably going to just take it out and go from there, its pissed me off too much already. Already took everything apart and found where everything is connected to/ran through so it won't be a problem. I have a remote start alarm sitting on my shelf so if anything i can install that instead. Otherwise i will probably just go buy a new system, do my homework on whats good whats bad and install everything myself so i know whats what etc..
+ with this alarm currently i cant install my turbo timer or it will get in the way of the alarm and probably cause more nonsense.
But thanks for all the info, appreciate it.

But i have no proof of purchase, receipts etc. They will not do anything because it came with the car when i bought it.

I think that's foolish because then the remotes would be the only way you could deactivate the alarm and remotes get lost/damaged/batteries get weak. The last few alarms I've installed had features that are programmed through the valet switch.

Simply bypass the starter kill...the alarm reads the ignition wire, but most turbo timers have an output for that.

Find that black or black yellow wire from the ignition switch, reconnect it as stock.

I'm not saying it is good, but people do it.
