    Got the LukeBox installed.

Here is a handful of pics. The car is a ways off from being back on the road and the system needs ton of tuning. But at a mere 75w per channel to the sub... its thumps real hard. I plan to have more going to it... but as it sits... I'm second guessing if I need it.

Got the tar out of the trunk, and then sprayed a rust inhibitor down.

Had to take the tar out to make room for THIS!

My buddy working his ass off getting the wiring going.

Had to recover the rear shelf.

With no carpet we got to run all the speaker wire in the factory locations. Super Tidy.

    Test fit.

    And the hard work begins.

    Sub is in.

Came in at a whopping 68.5 lbs.

    All installed.

I forgot to take finished rear shelf pics before I put it back in the car. But you can kinda see it in the last pic.

Looks great. I assume you fused the positive cables coming off the battery?

Do I see the amps Grounded to the Negative side of the battery?

Ground should always be done to the Body drill a hole, grind away untill it shines and install with a bolt, nut and lockwasher.

                  Dont use self tapping screws.

                  Hopefully I saw that wrong....

No worries on using the battery as a ground point in an E30. However, the main body ground is only a few inches away. On any car that has a front mount battery, follow this advice every time.

Wait...BMW runs a HUGE wire all through the car with no fuse...but the heavily insulated wire needs a fuse? Naaaah...but I still use one every time.

Agreed! Sure seems like most of the pictorials we see here on R3V are just super quality craftsmanship...makes me so proud!

                    Great job, bud.
