    Central Locking on a Convertible

Sometimes I park my car with the top down. I then lock the car to secure the trunk. The issue is that if someone reaches inside and opens the handle from the inside all the locks unlock. Now this makes sense with the top up and you want to get out of a locked car but with the top down its kind of a pain in the ass. What do you guys do?

Use the deadbolt feature if u must park with the top down.
There's also alarms with radar sensors and two way alerts.

i use a proximity sensor for my alarm...it will warn chirp if you walk by it, and go into panic mode if it see anything (hands, birds, cats) getting into the cabin area...

that, and btw, no-ones car is safe from breaking a window...or cutting the top.

deadbolting is turning the trunk lock to the vertical position, and inso doing, all doors will not able to be opened using the interior handles (as with all cabrios)

              I'll second that.

thought all e30's had that particular function.

It is called "double lock" and you turn the driver's side door lock right 90 degrees from the vertical to the horizontal position and pull the key out.

This is how I understood it to work. Not sure if it can be done any other way.
