Would the bass be more crisp/louder if the the rear speakers were removed, to allow the air to move freely from the trunk to the cabin? Would this be considered a basic way of porting the sub? Or is it not worth my time? I was just thinking about removing the speakers but reinstalling the grills to cover up the ugly holes, would it sound any different bass wise?

Originally posted by FrustratedMunkyAwesome, thanks. Did you notice a difference in sound from the sub when you removed the rear speakers? What was the difference? Louder, crisper? Just louder? More rattles or less?
It would make more of a difference in your car because it is not ported at all right now. You don't need rear speakers anyways.

This is gonna sound stupid, but how do you remove the rear speakers? I just can't figure it out. It's not like it screams "unscrew the screws dumbass" like the front speakers do.Moving sale: Everything Must Go!

Do you have the premium factory speakers? If so you need to remove the metal screens which will reveal the screws.Renting my rear wheel bearing tool kit. SIR

Nick I'm gonna be nice to you cause audio is something I hold near and dear.......
I don't have a clue what you are talking about though. What you are saying is that you want to keep your rear speakers but let more sound through? If so you'd have to do some of the stuff Luke has alluded to earlier in this thread. If your fronts are sounding like ass its because you have shitty fronts or aren't powering them correctly.
