Paging audio gurus...quick question on amp

I just bought the obcon 12" dvc "sharktooth" sub, im one paycheck away from pulling the trigger on a LukeBox and was just informed that a good friend will sell me a pristine alpine mrv f450 5 channel amp for $50, BUT the sub channel is only rated for 4 ohm mono. Just wondering if these v12 amps might have a little more under the hood and would be able to support the dvc sub?

I havent put together a decent stereo since the late '90s and back then I was a bass head (15" Kove Armageddon and USA400 in 85 Iroc) and still lived with the folks.

Im leaning towards buying it(good deal, right?) but NOT using it in favor of something 2 ohm stable.

For $50, I say go for it. The amp is good, I've installed that amp many times back in the day. I don't remember ever driving the sub channel into 2 ohms but Alpine is pretty robust.

Your interior speakers will love the Alpine amp.
