So luckily my E30 came with the original radio in the trunk. The aftermarket radio currently installed is a POS and after looking at the wiring I am nearly certain that it was installed incorrect.
From the car:
Brown Black wire - directly connected to the after market radio harness
Yellow - dangling not connected to anything
Blue - Dangling not connected to anything
Yellow red - aftermarket harness is spliced into this wire not directly connected
Yellow (currently do not remember if the same yellow as above could have been striped)- aftermarket harness is spliced into this wire not directly connected
Blue red - aftermarket harness is spliced into this wire not directly connected
Black blue - aftermarket harness is spliced into this wire not directly connected
White wire from the car is spliced into purple/grey power wire from the car and then the purple/grey is spliced into the aftermarket harness.
2 pin plug
Grey with red
Red with tiny grey line - spliced into aftermarket radio harness

From my stock radio:
Purple Grey
Black Brown
White
Blue
Yellow
2 pin plug:
yellow
white

The steps I plan to do:
1. Unsplice everything that is spliced
2. Purple Grey, black grey, white, blue and yellow are accounted for so I will connect those back together
Question 1: Is this plug stock? There is one white wire that goes nowhere, and one wire that goes somewhere into the back. Both seem to me to be two thick to be stock wires. Then on the other end of the plug are two white wires from the car that do seem to be the right thickness to be stock radio wiring:

On top of this plug I also have this plug where I mentioned above wherein the white wire from the car splices into the purple/grey from the car and then that goes into the aftermarket wiring harness.

So that leaves me with 3 white wires coming from the car, yet only one white wire from my radio. What should I do with this mess?
Question 2: Am I missing anything from my stock wiring to sucessfully re-install my original radio?
