windshield wipers. confused

I have had one wiper blade on the car for a little now. and about a week ago the fuse blew for the wipers and i put another one in and it blew within an hour. the windshield wiper worked properly before that. are the motors bad? sense i use one will i be ok by just getting one motor and deleting the other.. sorry for the noob question just never dealt with this before

I think there is just one motor driving a linkage for both wipers. That wiper motor, if blowing fuses, should be replaced. As long as your other linkage (with no wiper blade) is not binding up on anything.

Seriously dude, just install two wiper blades, they are not that expensive.
