My car is temporarily sitting right now because of a failed oil pump which im changing out now. But for some odd reason the battery light on the cluster is on all the time even when the keys are not in the ignition. And the next morning the battery would be dead. I'm not sure what the problem is can someone please help.

Battery light on all the time could indicate a short inside the cluster or in the wires leading to the cluster. Remove the cluster and inspect the local wiring. Also inspect the wiring leading from the starter and alternator to make sure there is no damage or shorting.
Next course would be to open up and inspect the cluster and SI board. You're looking for any dis-colorization of the circuit board, bent or touching electrical components, basically any conductors that are damaged to the point where they could be touching each other or ground.
Ignition switch failure could also cause the drain. You want to verify your ignition and accessory voltage "states" relative to key position. There should be only constant power at the ignition with the key out. Accessory and ignition should not be powered with key removed.
If you find something wrong inside the cluster, send me a message and I can quote you on repair.Owner - Bavarian Restoration
