Can you unlock an E30 with another E30 key?

Talk to Toyota truck guys. Half the old pickups out there can be unlocked with the same key. Others the key will fall out of the ignition while offroading. Truck will stay running, but good luck finding that key after offroading for a few hours to shut the truck down again.

Old locks tend to do that

On my 90 325i, I could turn the car on and then take the key out with the car still running and in the ignition position. However, using someone else's key wouldn't start the car, so I guess my cylinders were just barely worn enough but not enough

Needless to say, I freaked a lot of people out working my e30 magic
