Check light comes on but bulbs are fine

having some electrical issues with my 87 325i, for one my check light comes on and it says that my tail lights are out and i get out and check them and they are fine and everything works. Ive taken the thing apart and checked all the bulbs checked the connections and they seem to be fine.

It will come on every time you start the car until you depress the brake pedal.

ill depress the brakes and it will go off for a bit and then come back on a few minutes later and wont turn off again.

ues a pencil eraser and contact cleaner on all of the electrical parts that have anything to do with your tail lights, Also be sure that you have the correct model number bulb, extra resistance will set off the check panel as well.

I hada broken solder joint in the relay board located at the third brake light. Check those relay boards.

Bulbs are cheap, replace them anyway. Then try again.
