Lancer Ralliart Sub upgrade: Need Advice

Currently, I a using a 5ch amp and easily puts out around 250watts at 2ohm. I have it wired to single DVC 10" in an over sized (1.0 cf)box. The box does not fit under the rear deck as it was brought over from my previous car.

The sub got smacked pretty good in some spirited driving when a tied down object came loose. Oops! :D So I figure, why not fix my box issue at the same time.

The amp is pretty long(24") and would like a box wide enough to be able to mount the amp to it as I still do take it to the track occasionally and would need to remove it. I would prefer a hatch back, rear firing style box and keep as much trunk space s I can.

So.. should I go with a larger single 10" again, or two smaller 10", maybe even shallow mount?

I know 240 watts isn't a whole lot, but it puts out plenty of sound for what I need right now. I'm curious to hear everyones thoughts that lives 12volt daily, as I just haven't had the time to as when I was younger.

    Thanks r3v!

With only 240 watts, go with a single 10.

      Thanks for the reply.

At the wattage I am looking to throw at it, any recommendations on a sub that would handle it well in a sealed enclosure? Ported would be 'louder', but I've always prefered sealed with my listening habits.
