Swapping Speedo - 91 318i to 89 325is

Like the title states.. I'm looking to swap my broken speedo (1989 325is) with a working one from a 1991 318i. Both are motometer. Will it work?

Look on the face of the speedo's. There is a value next to the K= label. It will be a 4 digit number. K=XXXX

This is how the speedo is matched to the correct speed sender in the differential. If both speedo's are the same k value, it will work. Swap it.
