Is a head unit even needed for an audio system? Currently all my music is played from my iPhone. I dont listen to radio and any CDs I have are already ripped to the phone. In my non-e30 vehicle the head unit only acts as an expensive iphone connector.
Ive run iphone music thru the bottom connector and the 1/8 headphone jack to RCA cables and the sound is good. So can I run an iphone cable with RCA outputs to an EQ like this, then to my amps?
I cant think of a reason why this wont work. Feedback appreciated.
