I have seen people try to install 8" subs in the rear quarter panels but there just isn't much space. So I was thinking what if someone took the rear panels from a vert and got them to fit a coupe? The vert panels stick out a lot farther but will have plenty of backspacing for a sub when installed in a coupe. I realize some work would be needed but you don't know how much until you try, right? The added benefit of this would be that you can now run the vert backseat in a coupe which is the next best thing to the hard to find, uber expensive M3 seat. Another option is you can move the mid speakers to the stock vert panels and use the now vacant speaker pods in the deck panel for sub ports. Can't say that I've ever seen this done. You could even get new leather with the horizontal stitching and convert your front sport seats over.

They sound really good. Right now I have Kicker CVT 10's in there, but I am putting some Exile 10's in soon, and they should have a bit better low end extension. The Kickers need a bit more airspace than the Exiles.
It's no an SPL setup by any means, I would guess high 130dB, which is more than enough for me. The big advantage I feel is zero usable interior or trunk space used, and the weight is kept as close to the centre of the car as possible, and they are very lightweight enclosures to start with.
