windshield wiper stays on

windshield wiper and little fluid pump stays on after i pull the lever to spray water. usually it goes off after a few seconds but mine gets stuck on and pumps forever until i pull the fuse and put the fuse back. it doesnt do it all the time so its intermittent

what gives? switch or control unit most likely?

Mine did the same, I pulled the control unit, cleaned the pins and re-seated it. That was a couple of years ago and it has been working prfectly since.

ok will give it a go. the control unit is a whole lot cheaper than the switch if i do end up needing to replace it.
