    Keyless Entry

I was wondering whoever has keyless entry in their car, has experience, or any input for that matter on the subject I would love that! I'm sort of in a dilemma with my car because from the PO I have a key that unlocks the car from the trunk but doesn't go to anything else, and a key that goes into the ignition, but not anything else. So until I can get a full new lock set, what's some keyless entry brands? Prices? Difficulty of install?
Just to start off get some pictures of your own if you have it!

Ohhhhhh. I'm interested. Any parts about it that you don't like? Where/how did you wire it up? Pics? (I'm trying to go cheap before I can buy a lock set)

A locksmith will be able to re-key your locks to match. I suggest pulling all of them yourself and taking them in. Saves you money paying him to do it.

Have a read this thread, mate

If you don't want/need to wire up the turn signal light, you only need to wire up 4 wires, the lock/unlock wire is inside the driver side speaker panel, you'll need to find a suitable +12v wire and ground wire. There isn't anything easier than that.

Hmmm. Thank you! How would you do the turn signals? Still through the speaker panel somehow?

I installed mine using the central locking wires behind the drivers side speaker. The control box i placed on top of the ABS computer where my airbag control box was as I removed it, with the blinkers or driving lights spliced at the light/dimmer switch. With the model I used it also has a 30sec ground output after locking the doors, so you can hook it up to your interior dome lights as I did mine.
The only negative I can think of is that it has 4 buttons and I only use 2. The fob is pretty nice for how cheep it is, not overly bulky or cheep looking/feeling.
As far as pics go I can get them possibly if your really interested but it would require me taking the panels off :( and I don't think they would be of much benefit to you but let me know:)

This Write up by Q5Quint really helped me:

Turn signal wires are under driver side kick panel, see the wiring diagram in this post http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=234209, turn signal wires are gr/wh and gr/ye. Remove the kick panel and speaker cover to find the wires.

The link posted by Cosmic Serpent is also very good to follow.

I installed the above keyless entry. I attached the orange wire (from the unit) to the green/blue wire by the driver side kick panel and the orange/black wire from the unit to the yellow/blue wire at the same location. All I here is clicking, and there is no lock and unlock movement. I have not spliced the brown wires yet, but do those need to be connected to make the mechanism work? Also, what do I do with the "learning switch" from the unit?

I'm afraid you wired it INcorrectly. the orange and orange/black wire are meant to be cut out (not used)

Read the wiring diagram again, you need to connect the white and white/black.

Honestly - the wiring diagram didnt give me much information. All the diagram states is this: Wires colored white, orange, yellow, yellow/black, orange/black, and white/black, = centrol lock system. Thats all it says. But I will believe that it is the white set. I will try that and get back to you. But at least I feel more optimistic now.
