Trip Odometer/odometer not accurate

So I noticed that on my drive to and from Watkins Glen my odometer's aren't reading right. They are reading less than the actual distance traveled! Unfortunately this is skewing my fuel mileage stats and I was wondering if anyone knew the percentage of inaccuracy that these odo's have.

I do know that the tire size will have an affect but according to the tire size calculator my speedo should only be off by like 1.5% I have a mileage disparity of like 10-20 miles.

What gives?

Odometer gears often fail on e30's, its one of the most common problems. One or more teeth can break off leaving you with a working but inaccurate odometer. If you have never replaced your odometer gears, I would start there.

I am doubtful because the gears are all in good shape but I will check over the weekend!
