Keyless entry issue! Drivers side not unlocking?

Having my viper 5704v installed. The audio shop owner says that there is a "vacuum" issue with the driver side door that the key needs to be in to unlock it. Is this a problem with the actuator ? I do have to push it a little heavy to unlock it.

    Any suggestions?

Oh dear god...get your car out of that shop ASAP.

There is no vacuum, his installer has no clue about your car.

All the central lock system needs is a proper negative pulse on lock or unlock. You either need to use relays or use a module that uses onboard relays...seriously, get your car back, get someone qualified to work on it.

    Closing SOON!

Ok, I called and explained everything you just told me and he said that it is possible however my CLS isn't receiving the lock or unlock pulse to the driver side. How do I go about repairing that?

He claims it may also be the tumbler????

      Thanks btw :D

Back to the basic, can you central lock/unlock your car using the key ?
If you can't then you need to fix it first. Otherwise as SterioInstaller1 said, bring it back asap, your installer doesn't know BMW cars

I can unlock both door through either way of using the key to unlock it. I'm guessing there's nothing wrong with my cls?

I got the car back, definitely gonna demand a refund if that's the case

It sounds like your drivers door actuator took a shit based on ..." I do have to push it a little heavy to unlock it." I'm assuming you meant push the key, as if it's only mechanically unlocking the door without any assistance from the actuator. Time to troubleshoot.

Actuator case eliminated! The drivers side door unlocks fine when I open the door from the passenger side!!

This fuc*er didn't even attempt to wire it also. Going back tomorrow

If that's the case and all the other doors lock/unlock then the CLS is getting both signals and the drivers door should also unlock/lock. You proved this by unlocking/locking from the trunk or passenger door. Don't rule out the actuator just yet.

Scott, I bet it is simpler than all that.

I bet the goddamn door is open and won't lock. I bet the drivers side lock issues go away the moment he shuts the door.

Shitty installers piss me off SO bad! Jesus fuck it is 2 wires to connect to locks, just 2! Pull the left speakers, pull the module, tap into the wires, put it back (and DON'T forget the watershield you dumbass!) together...done...thats it, 2 wires!

Oh, Scott, make sure your hack is not trying to put an actuator in that door...do NOT add actuators on a central locking car, the stock ones are great.

Going back today, installer left his donut crumbs all over my seats..that bish!! I totally enjoy stripped wire all over my floor too.

I just called and they agreed to attempt it.

I'm thinking his worker didn't know how to do it and didn't want to admit it to the shop owner and fuck up all my wires. I know I should've done this myself, but viper won't warrant a "non professional" install.

                      Wish me good luck!

Scott, go to www.the12volt.com and look up your car. The wiring has to go to relays, as the output of that model cannot stand seeing "rest on ground", which is what our doorlock system does.

Relay wiring is simple for this application too:

                        Requires 2 relays

                        85: +12V fused 5A
86: - from alarm brain, lock or unlock
30: to BMW wire lock or unlock
                        87: nice solid ground

It is just that simple, takes 10 minutes to wire the relays.

Keyless entry issue! Drivers side not unlocking?

Everything has been resolved, especially with the help if you guys, thanks!

EDIT: I lied, installer blew my tweeter. Shared the audio wire from the main speakers vs the top part that's on our stock speakers. Great..

                          Another visit..
