No, this movie pre-dates the Business CD headunit.
My guess is either it was a dealer installed accessory (Pioneer, Kenwood etc.) sold at dealer mark-up pricing or its a one-off production head-unit that no one ever opted for and hence discontinued after only a year (why we don't see it in any surviving E30s).
I know there's a big BMW roundel on the knob but I don't think that's a BMW unit. It looks aftermarket judging how far out it sits like a Pioneer/Becker/Sony pull out. If it was in the ACC catalog then perhaps it was Pioneer or Alpine with a BMW knob. BMW probably wanted some ungodly amount for it too which is why you never see them.

Imo, looks kind of cheap, so I would go with Pioneer or even JVC.
I had an old 2 Alpine, that had better looking buttons/knobs and it appeared to be, one of the low end models.

Personally, being an old school audio nut...that sucker sure does look like one of the old Blaupunkts to me but it's been awhile so I'm probably mistaken. I know more about old amps than head units.
