I have as 1991 318i with power locks, but there doesn't seem to be a power lock for the trunk. Is that normal? I'm installing a keyless entry system and want to go wire it via the trunk lock wires. I did a search. Thanks guys.

Nah, the trunk should be power-lockable via the central locking just like the doors. There's a harness wrapped in tape that runs along the left side of the car around to the bottom of the truck latch mechanism thing.
If you mean automatic release though then no it doesn't have that.
I just installed keyless yesterday (REC-43T system), and used this writeup - worked perfectly.
