Kevin, you have heard pretty much all of them, would you agree that he would be OK with an 8" but better off with a 10", or do you think the 10 is overkill?

No the 10" is perfect... If I did it again (and I will) I'd get an amp rack too.

Our system will include new speaker wire as well, and an amp rack is expected to house the crossovers, which will be more of Justins always spectacular work. Got to love that...grown men with college degrees buying shiny things for our damn trunks, fer crissakes....once you see one in person though, just gotta have it. Its just audio rice really, but it does cool the amps and it does protect them and the light is sweet....plus they look really nice!

Music...I am a total cracker. Clasic rock, alternative rock, the occasional electronic stuff, some Latin house music from time to time. No dubstep or phat beatzzz here, yo! I'm just looking for some solid low frequency extension and snappy snare drum reproduction.

I listen to a similar range of music and also recommend the 10" box with the Infinity DVC sub.

Its crazy how the box makes air move but not the chassis! Such sound, no chassis buzzes and rattles! AND no stupid trunk lid flex! I heard this weird slapping sound, turns out its the sub pushing the leather away from the foam and pulling it back in! (at least that's what I've come up with for a diagnosis) I'm going to have to find a ski pass seat!
