Omega REC-43T Keyless Entry Module Questions

I Had just bought a Omega REC-43T and was wondering how other people like it? What they would like to do different? Best tips for installs, I had read many ways to do it. I really was wondering if there was a way to make the parking lights flash?

    Thanks in advance!

Had it for two years so far, love it. Great range (although the original batteries in the remotes are crap), easy to install. Definitely the best $30 I spent on an E30.

I installed one in both E30s under the antenna motor in the trunk (ziptied to the bracket) and wired the impulse wires to the trunk lock. I drew ground and 12v from the antenna wires.

Honestly, getting the lights to flash was not worth it for me. I can hear the solid thunk of the lock solenoids from 50ft away, it's enough.

There must be a +12V output wire (most likely blue color) from your keyless module which you need to connect to parking light wire, or turn indicator wires.

This. So I received the module in the mail and I this is what I have

The order of wires from left to right is: Red, Black, Blue, Green, Dark Green, Dark Blue.

I have never used this omega rec-43t, by looking at the diagram, it does not have the parking light/indicator output wires compare to other cheap eBay keyless entry products, which IMHO is a bit inferior design.

If you want flasher, you can split the lock / unlock wires, use relay to convert ground signal to +12v, then use diode to feed to parking light or indicator wires. However you won't have the feature of different flash pattern for lock and unlock.

Perhaps you can email omega to ask, they have quite good reputation in customer support

Use SEARCH there is a mile long thread on install.

To properly install it connected to the door lock relay in left front kick panel since you are directly actuating the relay.

I have the Rec 43T+, which is essentially exactly the same. I used this writeup and it worked great:

I ziptied it to the antenna/bracket like TSI did, and routed the antenna wires around the rear of the trunk behind the lining.
