Hi, my E30s blower motor will only work on the highest speed and from what I read on the forums the problems seems to be with the resistor. I took out the resistor and the coils on it were bent so I thought it would be best to buy a new one, but when I looked online for one all the resistors had three coiled wires when mine only has two. Could I have been on the wrong websites for the resistor? I also read that the early E30s had a three speed fan but I have a four speed switch (I have a 1985 325e). Could someone have changed the switch or is my car suppose to have a two coil resistor? If anyone has any ideas id love to hear them.

i can say if i were in the same situation i would hit the junkyard and find one from both an early and late model and try them. but i have easy access to a junkyard so that's why i would go that route.
maybe a previous owner switched out to a 4 speed switch when it should still be a 3?

Post a few pics."I'd probably take the E30 M3 in this case just because I love that little car, and how tanky that inline 6 is." - thecj
