    Fader pinout / plug pictures

Looking to re-wire my fader, as I will be keeping my OEM headunit, and want to balance my mismatched front and rear speakers.

I don't have a fader plug unfortunately, just the bare fader terminals.

Does anyone have a pinout of how the fader is wired? Or perhaps with some good photos of the plug I can figure it out?

    Thanks!

I have a copy of the electrical manual.

That doesn't explain where to physically connect the wires to the terminals on the back of the fader.

I haven't looked up that in the ETM, but there is a section that shows the pinouts of most connectors (towards the end of the document).
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I know, and the fader isn't in there. That's why I asked.

No numbers on the diagrams for pin locations? I never looked, I see it as my highest priority to yank those things out as quick as I can!

I do think I have a plug or three laying around though, I will see if I can find one if no one else does.

You gotta have junkyads up there, right?

At the bottom of (adobe .pdf) page 127 in the ETM for an '87 E30, which speakers the fader outputs go to are shown, as are the color abbreviations for the wires. Not sure if there's any substantive difference in the year-to-year ETM's, but it's section 6500 (Radio/Antenna) in that ETM, 2nd page in section 6500.

He needs the pin configurations, not the color codes

Thanks guys, but I've decided to build something custom (but OEM looking) instead. I no longer will be using the fader.

good...they lose 50% of the signal going to them at best.
