You will be severely volume constrained running the front stage off the deck. I would *strongly* encourage you to power the fronts. I would probably see what Luke's current favorite cheapie 3-5 channel amp is. I've got the Jensen 5500 in the spare car and I've been really impressed by it.2006 GMC Sierra 2500HD 4WD LBZ/Allison

Also, on a very strict budget, you might consider a cheaper head unit. If you can stand blue light, the JVC KDX310BT has really impressed me for $80. It's not an 80PRS or X996, but it's a fraction of the cost and I'm not sure that you are building a stereo that makes a really high end head unit worth investing in.2006 GMC Sierra 2500HD 4WD LBZ/Allison

sorry about the miss information, i was using a word wrong. i did not mean frequency response. but rather, the effectiveness of a cone at a specific frequency range.
I just spent a good 30 hours this weekend with my 10" e30 box built by Luke/Justin and I must say, the clarity and tuning of the box is really impressive. combined with a quality cone and good quality amp really makes the sound complete.
