WTF!!! MY SUBS FRIED!

I have one 1400W max amp powering two 300RMS Infinity References In a Dual bandpass box. I just had them installed 1 week ago. It was at level 25, which isnt the loudest, i think 35 is, but i was listening to Damn! by youngbloodz and then the bass just stops. I just kept going because i was almost at my house, and then i smelt smoke, i turn around and there is literally smoke pouring out of the left side of the portholes. When i got home, i checked the amp and all the fuses were blown. I took the subs out and there was a part in the box that was burnt black. I dont know exactly what happened. Hopefully i will be able to get my money back for whatever is ruin, because i had it "professionally" installed.

Did the main fuse from the batter blow? Or just the one on the amp?

A friend of mine actually separated the cone from the voice coil on a JL 10w0 once with a PPI Art Series amp. The store replaced it.

I'm sure that the place you had it installed at has some sort of similar warranty.

i dont know if the battery fuse blew, i will check tommorow, hopefully i can bring my car in on tuesday.

Youngbloodz can take out just about any trunk setup.

I seperated my coils a few weeks back on my Cerwin, and it's getting fixed under warranty. Before I knew that I went out and bought a new sub however. :x

Was the sub properly broken in? 25/35 with that track a week in is a little much.

i had no directions to break it in, but anyways im greedy and will make sure i get my money back from either the dealer, manufacturer or wiring place. I want new subs anyways though. Kickers!

I took out a w3v2 in a month. No break in. Oppsie. Didnt blow the coils just got super loose.

But he said he blew fuses in his amps and shit as well so It sounds like it may be other things.

I have 2 (12s) Infinity References 300 rms 1000 max, powered by a 1400W max Visonik amp. Not really that good, but its not that bad either. I also have a Kenwood Excelon deck thats fully motorized, i think its sick.

A sub designed to be that loud shouldnt have problems with 5000 watts rms.

Those things really shouldn't go into an enclosure with less that 10 cubes. You wont fit a box that big in your car.

EDIT: Also, millionbuy looks pretty fricken expensive :P If your on a budget, look for some cheaper sites.
