Brake pedal causes interior lights to dim.

    Hey guys,

This has been happening ever since I got this car last December. Whenever I press the brake pedal the interior lights flicker and dim very slightly. This includes even the blinkers, which I only noticed earlier today when my left blinker dash light started working again (lol).

I do know that a previous owner has done the extra brake light (rear fog) mod.

My interior lights are also really dim in general, they have to be all the way up to see them, and the check panel backlights flicker.

Is there some sort of voltage regulator that could be the source of any of these problems? If so, it might not be related, but whenever I start my car it seems the speed it cranks is totally random. Sometimes it's really fast, or sometimes a little sluggish.

Clean and re-secure the grounds for the interior illumination and brake circuits.

They are a bunch of brown wires located above the brake pedal going to two 10mm nuts on a metal bracket.
