    Dimming interior lights

Hey guys i just picked up a 318is as a daily driver and i love the car. im learning alot on the forums the past few days but one thing to fix a few bugs and what not. But one thing im stumped on is my interior dash and gauge cluster lights dim but if i touch the ebrake and pull it up a click or two they get really bright how they should and if i release it they dim a second or two later. not sure what the issue could be. any help would be great. thanks guys.

There are a bunch of electrical grounds that are located above the brake pedal near the steering column. These ground the cluster, illumination, and windows and more. Its located on a metal bracket with two 10mm nuts, all brown wires.

Remove the nuts, clean the ring lugs and re-secure.

Also, using old fuses cause cause this problem. Old fuses become oxidized leading to greater than normal voltage drop, thus dimming lights.
