Perfect answer... i'm not going to be running 3 amps but we'll see what we can come up with for my install. Nice thing about the E34's is they have a bit of a dip towards the rear seat in the trunk so i might be able to keep my setup completely level in the trunk. That plus the 400rwhp I got to push it around with should be ok then I guess

    Thanks Ian.

I certainly wouldn't class it as 'prohibitively heavy'. It is heavy, but how do you quantify 'prohibitively' ? The MDF in the amp rack is not all that heavy, but the amps certainly are. I'm sure the car would be a little quicker without the weight in the back, but I've driven around the Nurburgring with it all fitted, and had no issues at all. If anything, it helps with traction out of the corners. Having over 300bhp to drag it all around helps somewhat as well .

    FIX the Mix while driving

You're gonna need at least one big cap and at least a Yellow top Optima. Why not use Focals and JL's? Also a preamp EQ 1/2 din in dash would fit. Put the buttons in the drivers hand being that 1/2 of todays music mixers are kids with computers. Too much EQ deviation from album to album. Fix the mix in your car !! Fabrication looks very nice..

    Sony CDX-C91 Changer
Rainbow CS265 Profi Vanadium kickbass components (2 way)
    2 x Crystal CMP8 8" subs in sealed enclosures
2 x Genesis Dual Mono's running the Rainbows actively
1 x Genesis Miniblock running the subs.

I know it's a shame to hide it all, but I like a stealth install and it keeps it all protected.

Sorry guys, only just spotted the replies on this. I've not been getting any email notifications.

I'm actually using a pretty standard E30 battery. Nothing special at all. I do however have the benefit of a reasonably high output alternator (115A) that came as standard on my engine

I still need to take some pictures of the DSP and DAB units, but it's been a while since I've had the trim off.
