    Radio removal?

    Can anyone give me some info on how to remove this clarion radio? Will i need some kind if special tool? If so where can I get one. The reason for removal is to replace the fuse. Thanks!

    It states how to remove it in the instructions you posted. But since you need those pins/keys to remove it, just take out the whole HVAC panel. It's in there with 4 screws. Unless you take the controls for the vents out too, there's 4 screws behind them also. Plus I'm moving this to the proper part of the forum.

      I remember an old jvc unit I had needed little sliders to unlock it. I used butter knifes.


      1989 325is l 1984 euro 320i l 1970 2002 Racecar
      1991 318i 4dr slick top


      Euro spec 320i/Alpina B6 3.5 project(the never ending saga)

      Mtech 2 turbo restoration
      Brilliantrot slick top "build"

        Thin strips of metal will work. Just slide them down the sides and it will pull out.

          ^ this. Removing the hvac is too much. I used a blade from a sawxall to get an aftermarket radio out. All you need is something thin and about 3/4" high to slide into the sides.

                Ok so i got the radio out... but now i have no idea where the fuse is or where to access it. anyone have any ideas?

                  Usually it's on the back. Is there any screws in the casing that you can take out and split it to see the mother board

                      Me. Trying to get inside of it but cant figure it out. I took all of the extorior screws out but still cant see the mobo
