    What's your stereo setup?

I was just wondering what kind of system you guys have. I'll start off with mine...

    Kenwood Excelon MP3 head unit
    Eclipse 40x4 amp
    alpine 2x150 amp
    MB Quart component set (front)
    rockford fosgate 5.25in (rear)
2 12in JL W4 subwoofers in JL power wedge box.

Future: Kenwood Music Keg and an amp over 1000watts for my subs.....

    -Decent Kenwood headunit
    -200W Kenwood amp (free)
    -Alpine 10" ($50)
-Built my own box (apox $20)
    -All stock speakers/wiring

If i make alot of money this summer i want to get a new amp/box and rewire the car with new component speakers.

How do you like the Alpine Type-R? My friend has one in his Talon, and the thing is amazing...to say the least. 8)

Smoove1 and Brew- which speakers are you running, and what size? i would like to do components up front soon, i have perfect kappa 6.5's in the back.

do you guys think if there was a speaker that fit in the rear deck, JUST BARELY with no modification, no shaving, and even the mounting hole was a good fit. but depth wise, they were just barely not touching the metal at the bottom of that piece. you can view what I'm talking about here

Jensen deck running pioneer 3-ways up front, and stocks in the back (the stocks are from the front :P)

Pretty soon throw it all away, getting Alpine MP3 deck, a small rockford 4-channel amp, some decent components for the front and matching coaxials in the rear (still undecided on what to actually get), 2 12w0's in a small sealed enclosure in my trunk (super stealth) and a nice 200-400 watt amp for the subs.

I have 5.25in speakers up front. The tweeter is about 2in and is mounted on the plastic cover of the side view mirrors. As long as those kappas aren't grounding out and shorting your system I don't think you'll have a problem. As long as your stereo sounds good to you, that all that matters cause you're the one spending time in the car.

                  Pioneer DEH 1400 deck
                  Kenwood 6.5"'s up front
Bluankput 6x9's on the rear deck
                  stock door tweeters
Some no name brand 1000 watt 4-channel amp power the fronts, and the woofer on the rear speakers. Where the mid and low's on the 6x9's and the front door tweaters are powered by the deck. Oh and full 12 guage wire to all speakers.

I can't remember the model, and can't find the box right now. they fit in fine supposedly the Kenwood 6.5" are smaller then other 6.5's. I did have to space the Hood release lever out by using a longer bolt and some washers.

                              8) Word. Minus the R'Active muffler...... ;)

Alpine CD - something I dunno (want to pick up a 7894 with amber lighting)
Infinity Reference 5.25" I think all around.
Deleted door dinger - best mod ever!

Subs are dumb in an E30. But just in case, Type R's are weak. Polk are better, and Infitnity Kappa Perfect's are tight as hell.

I like the inline 6 sympathy the best, but my CD player helps me playing some good driving music. Blur's song Woohoo (from Star) inspires me. :)
