Kenwood CD player, matches interior quite well but skips if I so much as fart while driving
    Premier 75wx4 amp
12 gauge speaker wire throughout the car
Stock components for the time being, I'm actually very impressed with the sound quality they have now that they are being powered by the Premier amp, though I'm sure they will blow up before long ;)

Clarion 745MP CD/MP3 player will be replacing the Kenwood, and MB Quart Premium components will be replacing the stockers soon.

    '05 E46 M3 Imolarot/Cinnamon - CURRENT
    '98 E36 M3 Estorilblau/Dove - SOLD
    '90 E30 M3 Brilliantrot/Black - SOLD

I know it sounds insane.. But i guess you really have to be in my car to get it from my point of view. I have excellent sound quality. My bass is turned down cause i can only take so much of it, but I used to be a bass-head back in the day and just never got rid of my equpitment. I also dont really listen to a whole lot of rap or bass heavy tracks. So it works for me. I was suprised at the construction of the premium speakers with rubber surrounds, even if they have paper cones. The infinity speakers will change that though.

I had reference 6.5 in speakers in my jeep with blautpunk 6.5s in the back. My dad put a jensen 40x4 cd/tape 1.5 din deck in it and i had to crank it up pretty high to get some volume out of the stuff, and i dont need to crank the bmw's up very loud. Granted the deck sucked and the internal amp blew after 2 years, but hey sony isnt the best stuff either imo.

Not with the stock speakers you don't.

They may have rubber surrounds, but they're made to handle about 20 watts max each. It'd be a stretch to call them decent, although they're much better than most stock systems.

If you think the stock ones are even half decent you'll be amazed at how a set of aftermarket ones will sound.

        Which Infinities are you getting?
Which amp are you running them off of?

You actually let CarToys touch your car? ;)
It looks pretty nice. What mids do you have?

My choice would have been Magnolia HiFi for the install.

Ya, I am just gonna look stupid here because I don't know the model numbers for my shiznit but, whatever.

                - Panasonic touch screen head unit / CD player
                - MTX Blue Thunder Competition amp 400w x 5ch
                - 2 12" MTX Road Thunder Subs in bandpass box

All of the music is powered by my amp, not the head unit. Sounds damn good.

Yeah seriously, that last setup is just wrong. It would be damn good with a proper set of comps running at least 100w in the cabin, but for now it's just bad.

                              1 12W7 is overkill in a e30

                              2 is just stupid.

Not to mention 500rms to a 12W7 is way too little. He should have close to double that.
