hey, i was lookin into buyin an alarm system from u since i saw your post in the FS section. All I want is a system with an alarm and a keyless entry, and also this one-touch window add-on. Let me know which of the systems I should look to get because I looked at them and there are way too many to choose from. Also, pm me a price if you could. Thanks

so do you know if they can be used for the sunroof too? I'm defininitely down for a set for my 4 door. lmk

Okay - I would like to add a "one touch" button on my 'vert so that all 4 windows go up and down at the same time. i don't care about them being one touch individually...but would love a single button like on the e36/e46 'verts that rolls all the windows up/down at once.

Can this system work for that?

Yes. There are 2 trigger wires. They can do all up, all down, or vent, depending on your setup. If you are gonna do 4 windows, you will need 2 boxes. That install would take me about 2 hours...so figure about half a day for the non-professional. Not hard at all, but kinda complex. One wire from the fusebox or battery, then all the other wires are in the center console.

Can you get me a scematic of those switches? If they have a sepeate wire for the "one touch" circuit, I can make this happen easily, and really cool.

Otherwise, they work exactly as described.

Ordering more on monday, should be here thursday or so.

thats what i was thinking with the way i was gonna do it. it has to do two windows at a time doesnt it, it cant roll up one at a time can it.

also were talking about the inside of a car here, its very possible for it to get up to 100 then start raining, well atleast down here in el sur

As far as I know, no one makes a logical system for sunroofs like ours, that open 2 ways.

I am gonna do mine with relays, just gonna watch the damn thing.

Update!!!!

UPDATE!!! this window module DOES NOT have the normal "one-touch" feature. You can wire in a seperate switch to roll your windows all the way up or down, but it will not make your windows operate like a modern car.

Just a tap on the added button will roll them all the way up or down, depending on the install.

They will still to roll up or down with the switch just like they do now.

What I am gonna do is wire them to my alarm so they both close when I arm it, then if I hit the "aux" button they will open about an inch. If I want them to roll down all the way I can either disarm and push aux again, or keep pushing aux.

I really do wish they had normal "one touch" though.

Just to make sure you guys are getting what you want.

The one touch system from AutoLoc works fine with my sunroof. Works all ways (closed to tilt, tilt to closed, closed to open, etc.)

the DEI one works like that too.... and you get one touch like modern cars with it too...

Yeah...I know. I am kinda dissapointed. I just expected one touch, and haven't seen one in years that doesn't.

I really like the 100 degree thing though. The price is nice, too.

agreed the 100 degree thing is a nice touch... and a very good idea
