Now I am thinking this right here is the ABS relay, it was cracked and taped. I removed the tape to see what the relay was (thats when I noticed the crack), and all the marking came off.

not looking like it per the wire colors , the early production cars that had the overprotection relay external to the ABS control unit had two red wires according to the diagram i am using which is for an 89 IX which would most likely be similar to most but not guaranteed which is why looking at your specific diagram is best. im not seeing the red or red/ylw wires in that plug .
where is it located? or does it seem to be from in dash area?
have you looked above your ABS control to see if relay is up there?Last edited by spdracrm3; 09-02-2015, 07:29 AM.Angus

I will try to look more closely tonight but your diagrams are awesome!

So I went back tonight and really traced the wires. Its definitely the light control module. The wires match up perfectly.
He cut three wires, the Red and Black (power one to fuse) the other red and black is still looped to the central lock unit. The Brown and Yellow which explains why my dome lights only work when I open the passenger door. And last but not least he cut the green and white which goes to the power mirrors that also dont work.
So next job figure out why my wipers do not work! Replaced the wiper control unit, it worked for a bit then stopped.
Now next thing is to figure out what this one is! It doesnt match the wires for the ABS module you listed.

Thank you! I can work on most things but god do I hate tracing electrical.

download ETM's here
and that green/wht wire for the light control module comes from the K7 unloader relay and does power the mirrors from a splice S501 so if they cut it before the splice it could explain the mirrors not working (but also those wires go thru the notoriously problematic C405 door jamb connector) .as far as it going to the light module its function is to turn the interior lights off when engine is started/running ("cancel input" pin 15 of light module) ,dont want to be driving down the road with the interior light stuck on at nightAngus

Thanks again. I kind of want to punch this guy, I mean I kind of get cutting the wires for the lights since he was trying to tap in for his alarm (poorly) and build this crazy stereo system, but why cut all the other random wires, I just dont get it, the mirrors have nothing to do with anything he was doing!

Most likely he was looking for powers (switched and constant) grounds, and a lights "on" for auto dimming function for radio. Cut the wires and just didn't splice them back together, some people shouldn't work on cars period...
