E30 Instrument Cluster Swap

I just pulled the VDO instrument cluster in my 1987 E30 and found that people have been in there before me and damage was done.

I have a spare MotoMeter cluster. Is the MotoMeter cluster a plug-in replacement for the VDO unit?

Fuel gauge may be different if it is from a car with different senders in the tank. (Early vs late)
