6k tach (supereta) on a 327i conversion?

I have a 85 eta and planning on a 327i conversion (885 head and all "i" part swap) I have the eta cluster currently and picked up a 6k cluster at the junkyard. Can I use that cluster on my 327i conversion?
Also the wiring harness I have is from a convertible. I assume it's no different than a regular coupe/sedan "i" harness?

Should work fine, all E30 clusters are interchangeable. However, parts from a late model cluster will not interchange with an early model and vice versa aside from the speedometer, fuel and temp gauge.

With the proper coding plug and tach, you can have accurate engine speed on any cluster you wish.
