Possible charging issues with reman alternator

While doing my s52 swap, I did purchase a reman Bosch alternator from Pelican, as the one that came with the motor was in unknown condition. As I've got the car running (there are some other issues I've been working with), there seems to be a bit of a strange electrical issue going on which I'm having trouble tracking down. With the car running and minimal accessories on, the voltage is around 13.5 give or take a few tenths. While testing some other things today, I turned on all the accessories (headlights, brights, heater on full, wipers, amp in trunk) and watched the voltage drop to 12 on my DMM. The voltmeter in the car read 11.9. Is it possible that one of the diode packs on this reman alternator is faulty and causing the car to "sort of" charge? That could explain some of the strange issues if the battery is only getting 2/3 of the charge it's supposed to.

I'm going to take it out of the car tomorrow and head over to Advance to have it bench tested - hopefully that will shine some more light on the issue.

    Thanks!

Is the pulley the same diameter? Is the amperage the same as the old alternator?

Yes, the pulley is the same as i had to swap the existing one on to the reman unit.

The one that came on the engine was a Bosch 80A. Since I've got some stereo equipment in the car, I opted for the Bosch 140A, which was also available on the e36.
