Installed Performance Chip in e30 and won't start.

Please help! I tried installing a performance chip and my 1987 e30 wont turn over... There after I put the stock chip back and it won't start?..

ensure the notch on the chip is facing the correct direction. also did the car not crank at all? or just wouldnt start. The car will turn over even with a bad chip/ecu
