Hey I am brand new to the forums, so excuse me if im in the wrong place. I am also new to the e30. Just bought an 87 325es with an s52 swap! Good project, definitely needs some work but its a solid start. Anyways, the speedometer reads roughly double the actual speed. The tach and gas gauge are the only gauges that work. The car has the 3.73 diff and i think the speed sensor is fine because the speedometer reads, its just inaccurate. Any thoughts? Do I twist that "slot" on the back of the speedo to calibrate it?

No don't twist the slot, thats not an adjustment. If your speedometer is truly double speed, I would say the electronics have failed. I have seen damaged electronics cause the speedometer to report grossly inaccurate speed.Owner - Bavarian Restoration
