Back Speaker louder than front one

    Hello everyone,

I have a problem with my e30 speakers, The Back 2 Speakers are louder than the 2 front. I have checked my wires, they are good. I have checked my stereo and I made sure the front and back where properly set up. I also checked the OEM switch on the dashboard which is set on the middle.
The speakers are not OEM but the wires are.

    The front speakers are:
Rockford Fosgate R1525X2 Prime 5.25-Inch Full Range Coaxial Speaker

    The back speakers are:
    Rockford Fosgate R165X3 Prime 6.5-Inch Full-Range 3-Way Coaxial Speaker

    Any help will be appreciated

Either your fader switch is failing, the fader on your radio (if aftermarket) is not centered or the gains on your amp (if aftermarket) are not set.

If you have any of the original equipment, there is a very real possibility that it could be failing from age.

This happens to me on all my e30s with aftermarket radios and resorting the amp wires to the speakers (trunk amp bypass). If all the fader/balence functions work correctly, just put the fader towards the front.

I mean, you have larger speakers in the rear. It would follow that they would be louder.

That, or the factory amp is failing.
