I just got a 745 and it really is superb. I have an exact (or pretty damn close) match as far as illumiation goes, and I just love the blackness of the face. I can't stand all that silver and chrome shit everyone is plastering all over their designs nowadays. Plus, the entire display matches, not just the buttons. Check it out:
This is the 735, so it's not quite the same, but it's a good example of just how nice it looks. Also, the deck has a really nice setup with the 24-bit D/A converter and the 4V pre-outs. Aux-in is also in there. If I could have had this deck from day one, I would have. You should really check out the eBay auctions for this one, because it's worth it (and it's cheaper than the ones you're eyeing, too :) )I retired my E30 for now...
