    gauge cluster wiring..

for those of you who put a gauge cluster in the ash tray location, where did you get your switched 12v from? I tried tapping into the window circuit breaker but that didn't work. would tapping into one of the switches instead work? or did you get it from somewhere else?

could you possibly pull it from the radio?

I could, but getting a wire down to the ash tray from the radio proved a bit difficult. I'll probably try the window switch next time, but my battery was nearly dead anyway so it's kinda hard to figure out what works and what doesn't.

        Alright.

with the radio, you can always go the hard way. take out the center console, feed the power wire out of the side of the center part of the dash, and feed it down. and then when you put the center console back in just make sure to hide the wire appropriately.

just some suggestions. you will figure it out.

yeah, I don't want to take anything else apart unless I have to. just wanted to see what everyone else had done.

I wired mine up from the window switches. For this pod:

PS - Interior renovation is planned for this summer. Micro suede sport seats, charcoal carpet, black/grey door panels and half cage.

that's what I'll do then. I basically have the same pod with you, but I have oil temp, pressure and volt gauges. I got everything else wired except the senders from the oil temp and pressure sensors.
