I'm putting 6.5" speakers in the stick locations, and I built some shims out of mdf to replace the kick covers. Are there any low profile grills out there? The ones that came with the speakers are like 3/4" thick. I'd like to get some slimmer ones so that I dont have to hack my glovebox too much.

You need to make sure that whatever you put on there is tall enough so that the roll edge doesn't hit. A 1/4" wasn't enough and 1/2" is a little too much on my 6.5"Comment

Make (2) 5/8 or whateva rings from MDF, bolt one to the car, slap the kick panels on, attach 2nd ring to the first (provided you do the mounts in the 1st ring).Last edited by Mless5; 07-31-2007, 09:44 AM.'96 328is

This isn't the speaker I'm using, but it's the same idea. It's made so that I can still screw the speaker in, even with the grill glued up to the speaker. Shitty pictures from the phone.
