I'm putting 6.5" speakers in the stick locations, and I built some shims out of mdf to replace the kick covers. Are there any low profile grills out there? The ones that came with the speakers are like 3/4" thick. I'd like to get some slimmer ones so that I dont have to hack my glovebox too much.

make them! I actually just finished mine at work today.
I cut two rings of 1/4" ABS, acetone welded them together (acetone melts ABS but gasses off in ~30seconds allowing you to form pieces together), then super glue a piece of black metal mesh on the front. I'm gluing the other side of the rings into the speaker so that it fits just around the roll edge but inside of the mounting holes.
Just need a jig saw other than that.
