"Balanced Musical Sound"....Baahahahahhahahaaaa....he said "musical" bahahahahhaaaaaaaa.

It really helps if you listen to 'MUSIC"...not "Soulja Boy" or "Fitty Sent" or whatever crap kids listen to these days.

Anyway, we should likely tard out on another thread instead of this alarm thread.

Well I have a JL microsub with 3 8w6's in a sealed small box. Built by JL --I like it. Have focal 6 1/2 components in my 325iX up front with tweeters in stock BMW pillar mount and 6 1/2 in custom kicks I made. They are the yellow cones with the black center. Not sure the model number but I think they sound good. I am a sound engineer in NYC for film and TV sound. Been in to car audio for a while but tend to find what people want to hear in cars isn't what is known as a balanced musical sound. More thumping and crispy hi ends. But as long as people dig the tunes in the car...that's all that counts. Been impressed with your low end specs. Are you using software for your calculations? Or just manufacturer space specs?. Any case keep up the good work and have a Maryjuana Christmas and a hempy new year..

Doug, WHICH JL or Focal? W7? Overpriced pile of crap. W1, decent, but still overpriced and lack of power handling. W3? OK woofer, but no thanks. Cheap Focals, or the bad boys?

Wouldn't it be nice if you could buy a product based solely on brand name and count on quality? All in all, it seems to me that every single manufacturer of automotive electronics builds a top quality name, then whores it out to make a buck. JL has never sounded as good as it did when it was the original "JL" series, albeit overpriced by 70%. Focal? Holy shit, don't get me started...the single highest profit margin I have ever seen, from any given manufacturer. IMO, that is the ONLY motivation to sell that stuff...The cheap shit sounds like ass and handles no power, the good shit is overpriced.

If you read what I tell people, they always ask for a specific brand name...I give them specs to find instead. I am not here to whore out my shit, nor tell you what to buy. I will tell you what you need, then you figure out who makes it.

What are you trying to do?

Thanks for the kind words, Dave. I can be a horrible seller, but you have excellent timing.

Microwave sensors? Miserable pile of shit. If you have a roof, don't buy one.

Installed one in my e30 tonight (well mostly anyway, still have the siren and trunk switch on the to-do list) and I am very pleased.

Anyone thinking about picking one up, do it. Luke is a great seller.

I already have a few of my friends asking about getting one, and I am entertaining the thought of adding a microwave sensor. What's your experience been with those?

Haha well I'll keep my ears open for anyone needing truck wheels. I'd love to have your assistance for the alarm and the hi-fi stuff but its gonna have to be a while after this wonderful Christmas thing. I'm broke! Thanks Luke!

Yeah, I'm color retarded. I have a hell of a time doing wiring stuff because of it. I can get a headunit in but an alarm might be a little more trouble than its worth. Thanks.

In the first part you say remove relays for what purpose? To connect the wires from the alarm harness? And the door trigger dome relay... dkp means driver's kick panel?

And what's the "second ignition wire" do?

luke, which galaxy 5000 would you be selling for $100? There are several different models on their site.

What could you sell the 5100rs for? And what's the LCD display on the remote good for? It's 2 way, so I'm assuming it just tells you if your alarm is going off while you are close to teh vehicle. What's your overall opinion of the alarm? It seems like it's got good features for the price.
