    bench test power antenna

I have an OEM antenna that I want to check before I put in the car. Am I correct in thinking that I put a contannt 12v to the red wire and black to ground and jump 12v to the white wire to activate the motor. TIA

I did a and no answer there.

i believe so. it also wont work unless its grounded itself and to the ground jumper wire. you know it isnt that hard just installing it. and while your messing with it, replace the rubber grommet with a new one. its worth the $2 and prevents trunk rust

White wire doesn't need to be hooked up to +12v.q

....If you just want it to retract. Hook up the white wire to get it to extend.
